If you have a well-trained, well behaved dog and you want them to join in the family holiday, why should you compromise on quality when it comes to your accommodation? The vast majority of self catering properties in the Sidmouth area do not accept dogs - but we do accept up to two small dogs, by arrangement.

We have strict conditions relating to pets, this includes them not being allowed on the furniture or beds under any circumstances.  In our experience, most pet owners are very respectful and conscientious people.  They care about their pets and wouldn't let them come on holiday unless they were well-behaved, so they are therefore very welcome in our holiday home!

Out and About with your Dog

Daisy's favourite spot is sitting on the bench seats on Fortfield Terrace - watching the cricket, croquet  and the world pass by.

You will also find that the majority of the local pubs welcome dogs and many have water bowls outside so they can have a pint too!

From our experience, dogs get an extra special welcome at the Swan in York Street ! Dogs are also accepted in the bar at Dukes in the town centre. If you and your dog receive a special welcome we would be pleased to hear about it, either make a comment in the visitors book in the apartment or send us a message via this website, so that we can pass this on to other guests.  

We are happy for you to have your pet accompany you on holiday, there is a nominal charge of £20, on the strict understanding that you adhere to our booking conditions relating to the acceptance of pets to our property. Our property is beautifully furnished at great expense and is presented in an immaculately clean condition for you, it is important that you ensure your pet is not allowed on any furniture, does not create any kind of nuisance to the neighbours and the courtyards are kept clean. We recommend you bring your pet's bedding, feeding and water bowls, towels and poop bags with you, however you will find dog bowls, poop bags and spare towels provided, in case you forget. Please feel free to use the towels, but we would be grateful if you would wash and dry them and put back in their place, so other people may also use them.

When holidaying with your dog in Devon please remember to observe the country code and keep your dog on a lead when near livestock.  This is particularly important during the lambing season.  Care should be taken near estuaries as there are strong currents and some rivers have hidden, steeply shelving banks at this point in their course.
